This service allows citizens who have an official or recognized relationship with an inmate to request a certificate confirming the inmate’s current detention in a specific correctional facility.
The Rwanda Correctional Service provides this service
Follow these simple steps to help a user apply for a Certificate of an Inmate's Existence in a Correctional Facility
Note:
The required attachments vary depending on the relationship between the inmate
If the concerned party is a spouse, a marriage certificate will be required.
If the concerned party is a child or a parent, a birth certificate will be required.
If the concerned party is a sibling, legal guardian, or close relative, an official letter from the local government that verifies the applicant’s association with the concerned inmate will be required.
If either the representative or the inmate is a foreigner, a passport copy must also be uploaded.
- An application number (C2…...) is sent to you to track your application status.
